Pre-formance is a solo-exhibition relating to a largely unrepresented visual aspect of my work, solely focusing on drawings. Appearing spontaneously in the early phases of any given project, the drawings tend to propose and give form to the processes, purposes, intentions and ideas of a particular work. The six drawings specifically selected for the exhibition derive from my radio practice. Reflecting on the notion of concrete listening the drawings suggest a variety of site-specific radio sound systems and mobile radio stations.

Three of the drawings are the points of departure for the already realised projects at documenta14 in Kassel, Studio174 in Kingston Jamaica and 10th Berlin Biennale. Another three pre-form a space of imagination for the yet to be realised work. Concerned with the questions of mutual support and action, this practice is an exercise in response:abilities and structural change emerging throughout the process. Emphasising effective alliances between groups and individuals the drawings emerge in resonance with the everyday concern of how solidarity can be expressed and transmitted in concrete terms?
